What is an SAA Meeting?
A Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting consists of a group of two or more individuals who - using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of SAA - meet together regularly for the purpose of recovering from their compulsive sexual behavior. A SAA meeting is a safe place. It is a gathering of equals who keep confidences, refrain from judgement, and who support one another through sharing their experience, strength and hope in seeking the common goal of recovering from sexual addiction.

What are the requirements for membership in SAA? Only the desire to recover from their compulsive sexual behavior. There are no other requirements and no members dues or fees other than voluntary contributions.

What is an Online Meeting?
It is like a face-to-face meeting, except its held over the internet, so people are communicating using their computers. As in a face-to-face meeting people get together to share their experiences and support each other in their recovery from sexual addiction.

For any curiosity seekers, we should say a few things about what a SAA meeting is not. A meeting is not a place where people go to pick up other people. It is not a place where people share explicit details of their sexual behavior. So if you are looking for sexual excitement, you will find our meetings pretty dull places. Instead you will find a group of people with a common problem (sexual addiction) seriously working at learning to lead healthy, normal lives and have healthy sexual relationships.

What is a Telemeeting?
A telemeeting is for those in recovery from Sexual Addiction that is held via a telephone conference call. Those who attend are people working together to lead healthy lives and have healthy sexual relationships. It is not a place where people go to pick up others or share explicit details about their sexual behavior.

To enter the meeting, you will dial a conference server and enter the pass code. All attendees will be automatically joined together in the call. All you have to pay is the cost of a long distance call (if any) to Northern California.

What is a WebCall Meeting?
A WebCall Meeting is for those in recovery from Sexual Addiction that is held via a computer to computer connection as if it is a phone conversation. If you are interested in participating you will need to download free software. You will also need a microphone and speakers or headset

Those who attend are people working together to lead healthy lives and have healthy sexual relationships. It is not a place where people go to pick up others or share explicit details about their sexual behavior.

Once you have downloaded the program look for "Add Contact" and type "chipmoose". At the meeting time call "chipmoose" and you will be included in the meeting. Only a limited number can be on one WebCall Meeting at a time, but previsions have been made for overflow.

To participate in an Online meeting you will need a software program that supports the Internet Relay Chat, or IRC, protocol. If you do not have an IRC program click here and we will tell you where to download one.

SAA Online meetings use the Starlink-IRC server system. So to join one of these meetings you log onto one of their servers. Here are the current server addresses; use the one closest to you.

How do I Start an Online Meeting?
